Mars Wrigley is popping up a sweets-inspired salon. (And it's all free!)
If you thought a box of chocolates with Snoopy on the lid was about the only way to shower your lover with sweet treats this Valentine’s Day, there’s a pop-up salon in New York offering an entire candy makeover. Mars Wrigley Confectionary, yes, the behemoth behind M&M’s, Skittles, Starbursts, and chewing gums, is opening up shop in midtown Manhattan just in time to indulge with your sweetheart with a series of spa treatments inspired by the companies products.
Mars Wrigley is popping up a sweets-inspired spa in New York.Open for just two days, February 13 and 14, the Sweet ReTreat will feature “candy, chocolate, gum and mint-themed ‘TREATments,’” and will “indulge the senses – not just the palate – with services ranging from signature manicures and pedicures, to blow-outs, style touch-ups and a make-up counter,” according to a statement.
Those services include a makeup bar with chocolate-themed shades inspired by Dove, M&M’s, Twix, and Snickers, a mani-pedi station featuring candy shell lacquers akin to Skittles and Starburst colors, a Snickers pedicure that features a scrub and a candy bar to munch on, blowouts and touch up with a hint of Altoids and Extra mint flavors, and a lounge area with massages on-hand and candy-inspired beverages. The best part? It's all free!
The Mars Sweet ReTreat will be located at 230 West 39th Street in New York, NY and is taking reservations for timeslots between 10 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on its website. Because the brand believes these things are best shared, all reservations are for two people.
Of course, candy is just one upgrade you can make to your spa experience. There are also wine spas, a gin spa, among many boozy places to relax, as well as a whole menu of food-themed treatments from olive oil to beer to coffee.
