This Budweiser Can Condo Has to Be Seen to Be Believed (and Even Then It's Pretty Unbelievable)

From the outside, the condo at 4707 Lucerne Lakes Boulevard looks like any other property in the Lucerne Greens development. It has the same buttercream exterior, the same dark brown trim, and the same neat landscaping as its neighbors. But once you step in the front door, you'll realize pretty much immediately that Apartment 102 is a totally different kind of space, and that its former owner seemed to have dedicated his life to… empty cans of Budweiser beer.

Almost all of its 815 square feet have been covered with carefully arranged Budweiser cans. The walls are basically papered with a thin layer of aluminum. There are cans on the ceilings, there are cans in the bedrooms, horizontal cans as crown molding, and even cans in the walk-in closets. The only can-free spaces are the two bathrooms, which are so normal they're almost jarring. (The place is also filled with New York Yankees memorabilia, with either proves that the previous occupant was either a man of discerning taste or that he was the opposite of that, depending on how you feel about Anheuser-Busch and the AL East.)

"They warned me that the home was wallpapered in beer cans," listing agent Kristen Adams-Kearney of Kearney & Associates told Realtor.com. "And I thought to myself, 'Well, I wonder where in the world they found beer-can wallpaper.' It was his life's mission to wallpaper his home in beer cans, and he did it."

Adams-Kearney clearly had a good time writing the description of the property. Entering the spacious [two bedroom, two bath] corner-unit condo, you immediately reminisce of long road trips and the inevitable belting out of the beloved song, ''99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall," the listing reads. "Budweiser's biggest fan meticulously adorned the walls and ceilings with Budweiser beer cans to display and showcase their intense love for one of America's favorite domestic brews! Whether you keep the current décor for your Youtube beer show or decide to renovate the home, this property offers tons of entertainment potential!"

She posted the "whimsical and creative" property on the Kearney & Associates Facebook page, and it quickly got the attention of Budweiser, who shared it on its own social media accounts. "The perfect house doesn't exi-" it wrote. ("I don't think he will be getting his deposit back," one person joked. "Worth it," Budweiser replied.)

Beyond the obvious features, the first-floor condo also features laminate flooring throughout, a recently updated second bathroom, and the owner will have access to the community's outdoor pool, clubhouse, and tennis courts.

Adams-Kearney said that the condo was "priced to sell" when it was listed for $110,000 in late August. The price was reduced to $100,000 earlier this month, and a potential buyer already has it under contract—and there are even backup buyers who are ready to step up if that deal falls through. And as of today, Budweiser has also sweetened the deal by offering to keep the fridge stocked with beer as long as the new owners keep the original decor intact.

According to Realtor.com, the buyer who made the in-contract offer did so without seeing the condo in person.
