Bon Jovi Is Hosting a Virtual Rosé Tasting and Concert
In case you needed a fresh excuse to drink wine, Jon Bon Jovi is hosting an online concert and virtual rosé tasting this Friday, with a portion of proceeds going to benefit Jose Andres’ World Central Kitchen.
On August 14, Jon Bon Jovi will livestream a free acoustic show—billed as “a digital concert for COVID relief”—with his band the Kings of Suburbia. The event will stream on the Facebook page for Hampton Water, the rosé brand the rocker started with his son Jesse Bongiovi and winemaker Gerard Bertrand. Though the music won’t kick off until 7 p.m. ET, Jon and Jesse will be holding an exclusive pre-show virtual happy hour and wine tasting at 6:30 p.m. on LiveNation.com.
“Fans are encouraged to submit questions on Hampton Water’s Facebook page and grab their own bottle in advance to drink along with Jon and Jesse,” the announcement states. Need more motivation to join in on the tasting? Hampton Water says that, all month, $1 from every bottle purchased will be donated to the World Central Kitchen “to benefit COVID-19 relief and minority owned businesses.”
“We are proud to have been on the frontlines throughout this pandemic feeding those in need at our New Jersey community restaurants and our Long Island Food bank,” Jon Bon Jovi—who has a long history of feeding the hungry—explained. “It’s a natural extension to team up with my son and his acclaimed Hampton Water to benefit World Central Kitchen.”
"When the pandemic started and people were struggling across the country, we knew we needed to do something to help,” Jesse Bongiovi added. “WCK has created an amazing pathway to not only help those in need, but also bring out of work restaurants much needed business.”
For the Facebook averse, the concert will also stream on iHeartRadio Stations. And for those looking to prepare for the tasting, Hampton Water says that from now until Friday, you can use the code ‘LIVE10’ at Wine.com to receive 10 percent off your Hampton Water purchase.
