As if a recently fired up Hillary Clinton wasn’t annoying enough for Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee now has to deal with a couple jibes from someone who does not have a negative approval rating among Americans: Anthony Bourdain.

When asked by the New York Daily News which presidential candidate he’d most like to dine with, Bourdain eventually answered, “Trump. But for all the wrong reasons. I'd like to see him struggle with chopsticks and eat a well done fucking steak.” Later, Bourdain followed up with, “I’d like to feed him steak tartare.”

The statement includes two pretty obvious specific references. After recently dining in Vietnam with President Obama, Bourdain complimented the POTUS’s chopstick skills, calling him “very comfortable” – making his recent Trump comment feel a bit like a slight. Meanwhile, the steak comments are clearly a reference to Trump’s open love for overcooked beef.

But the Daily News seemed to imply that the Trump bashing ended at the culinary level. “We know him well in New York. For better or worse, he's one of ours,” Bourdain was also quoted as saying. “We've seen this guy for 30 years — how he treats people, what he says and what he does, how he does business every day. So he's one of ours. Yeah, I'd like to have lunch with that.”

So how does Trump feel about all this? A quick glance over his Twitter feed reveals no response yet. Maybe he’s dropped his phone in the toilet? This is hot fodder, Trump!
