An ‘Always Sunny In Philadelphia’ Paddy’s Pub Pop-Up Is Coming to Chicago for St. Patrick’s Day
If you’ve been too busy to hang out with the gang lately, you can “take care” of them this March, just like Luther from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, at Replay Lincoln Park’s St. Patrick’s Day pop-up.
The hit FXX comedy lays claim to one of TV’s most memorable bars, Paddy’s Pub. It is also well known for its characters’ proclivity to drink (there’s too many Always Sunny-inspired drinking games to count). Coupled with its big themes of friendship, it’s the perfect property to build a pop-up around. And beginning March 9, you and your gang can celebrate one of the most joyous drinking days of the year the very same way as the Always Sunny crew.
Replay, the vintage arcade bar you may already know from its past popular Simpsons and Rick & Morty pop-ups, will dress its interior up (as much as it can) like Paddy’s. It will also offer attendees a stacked themed drink list because that’s what you’re really there for. The drink list includes Fight Milk, a mix of vanilla vodka, creme de cacao, cold brew coffee and vanilla cream “for bodyguards, by bodyguards,” while the Wolf Cola cocktail, based on a season twelve episode, features a combination of whiskey and a pop-up exclusive soda. You can also try the Rum Ham, the FXX series’ Cast Away spoof themed cocktail, which combines aged rum, bbq bitters, sweet vermouth, and a ham and pineapple garnish.
And to help keep you upright and spending more time with your friends, Replay’s food menu will feature the city’s classic Philly-style cheesesteaks. Eater Chicago reports there will also be a photo activation where your gang can pretend to be “the gang” while snapping a photo.
Replay Lincoln Park’s Always Sunny pop-up will be located at 2833 N. Sheffield Avenue in Chicago, and run from March 9 until March 17.
