Turbo Garlic Press
I'm not a gadget freak. I do love my Oxo Good Grips peeler. I could never go back to the all-metal version I used before, not because of the grip but because the blade is so perilously sharp. I also love our Aerolatte, an inexpensive little gizmo that whirs and froths and foams your milk for coffee in a minute or two. That's about where gadgets stopped for me, until recently, when the Rösle garlic press arrived on my desk. It's an awesome piece of beautifully designed machinery with a lot of moving parts (for a garlic press). The grip is fantastic—lovely to hold, with superheavy rounded handles. It does a great job and it's incredibly easy to clean. Plus the press is all one piece so you don't have to go on a treasure hunt every time you want to make garlic bread.
