We’re big hot sauce fans here at Food & Wine. That element of heat brightens everything from salads to tacos—even a good Bloody Mary. With a long winter ahead, we’re looking for ways to spice up our cold-weather comfort food routines. One popular hot sauce brand has answered the call: meet TRUFF Pasta Sauce.

TRUFF has quickly become one of the most popular hot sauces on the market, with everything from white truffle hot sauce to mini bottles designed for portability. In case we weren’t already having our needs met, the brand has done it again with a new category with two pasta sauces: Black Truffle Pomodoro and Black Truffle Arrabiata.

We tried both sauces with classic spaghetti and rotini pasta shapes. They are less sweet than the signature hot sauces, and the truffle blends nicely with the slight spice from chili peppers, ripe tomatoes, and herbs. The Arrabiata has more heat than the Pomodoro, but not overwhelmingly so. It’s the right amount of spice and truffle for a tasty meal without drowning out the other elements of the dish.

Try the sauces in a vamped-up eggplant or chicken parmesan, add it in as the base for eggs in purgatory, or even top off a meatloaf with a layer for something extra. TRUFF's products are all gluten-free and vegan, so folks with special diets can enjoy them with gluten-free pasta as well.

Try out the sauces for $30 per set of two, or splurge on a 4-pack for $57 before these jars sell out. TRUFF’s products have a tendency to go viral quickly, so the sooner you order the better.
