Zabar's and Coach Just Launched a Bagel-Themed Sweater That Every New Yorker Will Have an Opinion On

Thanks to its incredible lox counter and bagels, delicious cafe, and imported goods from around the globe, Zabar's has been a timeless New York City food institution since 1934. Now, Zabar's has teamed up with another iconic New York brand, Coach, to create two new pieces—a delicious-looking bagel sweater and T-shirt that have already begun to sell out.

I've lived in New York City my entire life and have been to hundreds of restaurants and markets, but nothing can top my love for Zabar's. I've spent most of my childhood (and now adulthood) snacking on its lox, whitefish, and bagels galore. There was even a good five years where my elementary school lunches consisted of a Zabar's bagel and a schmear. So, safe to say I'm intrigued by this collaboration.

The sweater is made of a mohair-wool blend and features a pink background and beautifully stitched, partially eaten seeded bagel with cream cheese, as well as the iconic Zabar's logo on the bottom. Personally, I think this item truly encompasses what Zabar's is at its core–a high-end food market with an old-school, no-frills atmosphere that will never go out of style.

The sweater has a relaxed fit and luxury price tag, coming in at a whopping $495. There's no doubt it's a splurge item, and there's also a cotton tee with a similar bagel design that's $345 less. Or if you would rather just save your budget for bagels, you can order a dozen for $59 from Goldbelly.
