After months of COVID-19 lockdown, restaurants, bars, and cafes across the country are opening their doors to welcome diners into a new, socially distanced normal. Of course, if you are hesitant to venture out of quarantine, there are still ways to support your go-to spots from the comfort of your home. And for anyone who loves a quality cup of joe, there’s one company making it even easier to directly impact local roasters with each and every mug.

Trade Coffee

Trade Coffee is a subscription service that boasts more than 400 coffee blends from top roasters across the country. Using a clever 7-question quiz, it expertly tailors recommendations based on taste and brewing style, then delivers bags of beans on your schedule. The company is already a great way for coffee drinkers to learn about local businesses, but this month it is taking its commitment to community a step further with its Come Together coffee program

Over the span of four weeks, Trade is releasing limited-edition blends inspired by its network of roasters and their communities. What’s more, it is donating 100% of the program’s profits to causes chosen by the roaster.

“Trade is about connecting people to roasters and communities around the country,” wrote Chief Marketing Officer Melissa Spencer Barnes to Food and Wine. “That’s why we want to give back to them when they need it most. From the start of this, we’ve been focused on increasing orders to support roasters as small businesses. We also raised $50,000 in donations for roaster employees who’ve lost wages. With Come Together Coffee, we’re expanding these community-driven efforts by driving additional sales for roasters and donating 100% of profits to local nonprofits.”

Roasters have selected a wide variety of charities impacting both COVID-19 relief, as well as the Black Lives Matter movement. From the NAACP Legal Fund to memorials dedicated to employees killed by the coronavirus, each week roasters lift up causes that speak to them. Blends launch every Wednesday and cost $18 per bag.

If you’re looking to support local businesses and communities, the Come Together program is an excellent way to help out. Shop this week’s selection below, or head to Trade every Wednesday for a new batch of roasters and their charitable causes.
