Some of Our Favorite Kitchen and Food Brands Are on Sale for Cyber Monday

Big retailers often steal the spotlight on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but the multi-day shopping marathon is important for smaller businesses, too. This year, Americans are expected to spend $36 billion in online shopping between November 25 and 29, according to data from Adobe Analytics, and we're making it a point to seek out goods from small businesses to add to our carts.

For many of us, independent cookware, food, and home brands provide welcome variety to our collections of kitchen tools—in fact, shopping from these under-the-radar brands is a great way to find extra special and unique gifts for the holidays. Plus, there's that warm and fuzzy feeling of supporting the underdogs of the retail world.

Understandably, sales are rare for small businesses. So, their discounts for Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday are a very big deal. And for many new brands, these markdowns are the first time ever putting products on sale.

For cookware, we're looking at direct-to-consumer brands like Made In, Material Kitchen, and Misen. All have the Food & Wine test kitchen stamp of approval thanks to their thoughtful designs and quality builds. For example, the lid for Misen's 7-quart Dutch oven doubles as a grill, and Made In constructed its wok out of carbon steel to reach blisteringly high temperatures across a range of stovetop styles. Both brands are offering their biggest discounts of the year.

For the hardest to buy for on your holiday list, consider surprising them with a new snack or sip. Trade Coffee is a subscription service that already makes it easy to discover new coffee blends from top roasters across the country; this season, it's offering a Celebration Box that showcases its top-rated light, medium, and dark roasts, and includes a gift code for a bag tailored to your loved one's taste. And hot sauce and dumpling maker Fly By Jing has slashed prices up to 40% off its entire site, making it an excellent time to pick up its new dumplings and editor-loved chili crisp.
