We tend to get really (perhaps sometimes disproportionately) excited about new cookware launches. In spite of the impressive collections of pots and pans of all materials that plenty of us already have, we just can't help ourselves when it comes to beautiful, shiny new pieces. That is especially true when an editor-approved brand like Sardel announces that it's finally releasing a pot that its shoppers have been requesting for quite some time.

That's the 3.5-quart saucepan, which will be the largest saucepan in Sardel's line of Italian-made cookware. "We would get countless requests each month for a larger saucepan, which is why we prioritized expanding our collection with this product," Sardel told Food & Wine. "More than 80% of the orders have been to previous customers."

Right now, shoppers can buy the saucepan (which is expected to ship on May 15) at the special pre-order price of $100 before it goes up to $125 when it officially launches. But Food & Wine readers can use code SAUCE15 at checkout for 15% off $115, which brings it down to just under $98 through April 30.

To buy: Sardel 3.5-Quart Saucepan, $98 with code SAUCE15 (originally $125) at sardelkitchen.com

The saucepan, which is launching in May, is the ideal size for simmering a white wine butter sauce, making a big batch of quinoa, or blanching a side dish of string beans. It's safe to use on any type of cooktop (induction, gas, electric, and glass) and is constructed out of the same high-quality five-ply stainless steel that fans of Sardel have come to expect. The pan is oven-safe up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit and is easy to clean with just a bit of soap and water. Plus, the rounded, easy-to-grip handle doesn't heat up as you're cooking so you'll never burn your palm.

Sardel says that this new pan is already popular and that the new cookware is "selling fast." The brand advises interested shoppers to order now before it sells out.

Pre-order your own Sardel 3.5-Quart Saucepan today while it's still available and don't forget to use code SAUCE15 at checkout for an extra discount just for Food & Wine readers.
