All hail the king of your kitchen utensils, Red the Crab.

After going viral on TikTok in mid-September, this Ototo spoon rest has become somewhat of an Internet celebrity. One commenter on the video even jokingly referred to Red as the "soup guardian," and he sort of is: Red the Crab, first of his name, Soup Guardian, Utensil Holder, and Steam Releaser.

The $16 tool was designed as a spoon rest for the stovetop or grill to help prevent food from splattering on your countertop as you cook. It's BPA-free and made of 100 percent food grade silicone. Plus, it's heat-resistant, so you can attach it to the side of your pot as you cook to not only hold your utensils, but also to release steam, too—which means no more water boiling over).

Red the Crab is an adorably functional addition to your kitchen with over 1,300 five-star ratings, but reviewers have found other uses for him, too. One shared that they used the tool as a Christmas tree topper during the holiday season, while an avid pen collector said they use the gadget as a pen stand. Another reviewer pointed out that it's also "the perfect gift" for Cancers, those with the astrological sign represented by the crab.

"This is one product that I never thought I'd need but now I'm happy to have it," one reviewer wrote of Red. "So cute and fun at the same time as useful in keeping my kitchen a little cleaner."

Of course, Red isn't the only adorable Ototo kitchen tool you need in your life, nor is it the only one to get attention on TikTok. There's Gracula, a garlic grinder complete with pointed fangs, Vino, a currently sold-out bat-shaped wine opener, and even Al Dente, a viral spaghetti tester that looks exactly like a fisherman. The Ototo storefront is filled with dozens of kitchen items you didn't know you needed — but if they make you as happy as they do us, we're not ones to judge.

Shop the Red the Crab Silicone Utensil Rest on Amazon for $16, and make cooking all the more fun.
