Walmart launched a summer sale of its own this week, and among its droves of discounts is one on a Food & Wine award-winning smoker that's nearly $500 off. The Kamado Joe Classic II Charcoal Grill is one of the heaviest grill discounts that Walmart is currently offering, but the 38% off deal comes to a close tomorrow at 12 p.m. ET. That means you have less than a day to shop this deal before the price jumps back up to $1,299. Courtesy of Walmart To buy: Kamado Joe Classic II Charcoal Grill, $813 (originally $1,299) at walmart.com This egg-shaped charcoal-burning smoker and grill that, according to pro pitmasters Cory Bahr and Jake Wood, is "excellent" at retaining heat and controlling the internal temperature (which cranks up to 225 degrees Fahrenheit for smoke and 750 degrees Fahrenheit with a flame) via its ceramic construction and gasketed lid. It has superior fuel efficiency (meaning you won't burn through charcoal or expensive specialty wood chips in a flash), and although it's heavy, the hinged lid is assisted by a spring that makes opening and closing the grill's top easy. Plus, the interior is big enough at 508 square inches to cook up several racks of ribs and pork bellies at a time. Shoppers who bought the grill say that it's the best smoker or grill they've ever purchased and that its unique and beautiful appearance is an added bonus as unexpected decor in their yards. Others shared that they've been able to do everything from smoking and searing to barbecuing, baking bread, and charring the bottom of a pizza crust inside the Kamado Joe. They added that it's been easier to experiment with different foods than expected thanks to the simple-to-read markings on the top of the vent that indicate how open or closed it should be for the desired temperature. Upgrade your backyard grilling and smoking game by investing in the Kamado Joe Classic II Charcoal Grill while it's still $486 less and in-stock at Walmart today. Was this page helpful?
