Photo: Amazon After a decade of coffee dependence, I recently transitioned to tea with the hopes of eliminating jitters and morning headaches. And honestly, it was a rough process—not because of the downgrade in caffeine, but because of how much I took for granted the convenience of popping in a Keurig K-cup. That slow, gentle process of boiling water and steeping tea before heading to work in the morning doesn't jive with my routine of rushing out of the door. But a few months ago, I discovered this electric tea kettle. Made by Cosori, it's the best-seller in its category on Amazon and has thousands of rave reviews, so I decided to give it a try. An electric tea kettle is one of those products you don't really know that you need until you have one, and then you can't imagine your life without it. And since mine arrived, my mornings have become so much better. It's narrow and doesn't take up too much space on my kitchen counter, and the matte black exterior fits right in with my other kitchenware (you can get it in silver, too—see below). I had no problem tossing my old coffee maker to the side to make room for this beauty. It has a thick, heat-proof handle and a long gooseneck spout for an elegant pour every time. The Best Electric Kettles, According to Thousands of Reviews And while a pot of water can take up to 10 minutes to boil, the Cosori electric tea kettle uses 1200 watts of power to heat water up in three to five minutes, keeping my rushed morning routine intact. It has five temperature settings ranging from 170 to 212 degrees Fahrenheit labeled by tea types (including white, green, and oolong), because not all tea leaves steep the same. And in case I ever want to go back to the dark side, there's a preset for coffee, too. Before I got the tea kettle, I was always spilling boiling water while trying to pour it from a standard pot into my Hydro Flask mug, but the Cosori kettle has a stainless steel, leak-proof lid and handle, so transferring water into a cup is effortless. Just avoid touching the body of the kettle, which can sometimes be hot. With an average 4.8-star rating from more than 7,000 Amazon customers, shoppers seemingly agree with me that this electric tea kettle is a must buy. In their reviews, they call out its ability to heat up in minutes, sleek design, and functionality. While some quality electric tea kettles can cost hundreds, the Cosori Electric Gooseneck Kettle goes for just $70 on Amazon, and I believe it's well worth the investment. Now, off to make myself a delicious cup of ginger tea. Courtesy of Amazon To buy: Cosori Electric Gooseneck Kettle in Silver, $69 at amazon.com Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback!
