Duralex Picardie Glasses
Crate & Barrel

Summer is the perfect time to give your dinner table a little refresh. We're entertaining outside, the peak season fruits and vegetables offer unlimited inspiration, and the general pace of life seems to slow down and leave room for lingering over a meal. One great way to add a little flair and sparkle to your table is through colorful glassware. While we do love a rare vintage find, vibrant tumblers, flutes, and goblets are now more affordable and easier to find than ever. Whether it's a blush-tinted wine glass, a playful coupe for an after-work martini, or a rainbow of acrylic margarita glasses for your next pool party, these glasses are what you'll need for happy hour, backyard barbeques, and beyond this season. We've even included some matching pitchers for batch cocktails and a stackable glass and water carafe set that would be a thoughtful touch on your bar or nightstand.

Read on for our list of the best colorful glassware to adorn your summer table and any table setting year-round.

Ramona Coupe Glasses, Set of 4

Ramona Coupe Glasses
Courtesy of Anthropologie

These color-blocked coupes are ready for a party. The hand-blown wide saucer elicits old Hollywood glam, while the wide base gives them a modern look. While a flute is our usual go-to for sparkling wines, a coupe adds a little extra sense of occasion. Because of its broad, saucer-like bowl, a coupe can allow Champagne to interact more with oxygen, enhancing the aroma and taste of your wine. If you're not a Champagne drinker, these coupes can double as a cocktail glass for a Manhattan, gimlet, or dirty martini. These cocktail picks from Crate & Barrel also look perfect perched in your glass with your skewered garnishes.

Duralex Picardie Glass

Also available at Crate & Barrel.

Duralex has been making durable tempered glass products for over 80 years. There is a reason that the Picardie has been a favorite of restaurants for decades—they're a perfect size and shape for a casual glass of wine (8.75 ounces) or to stack on your table with a carafe of water. Plus, they're incredibly durable and can go right in the dishwasher. If you've accidentally dropped one of these on your kitchen floor and held your breath until you saw that it didn't even chip, then you get it. While the everyday clear ones will always have a place in our homes, we love the bright, poppy colors (that hot pink!) that feel like a fresh take on the classic bistro glass.

La Rochère Teal Blue Bee French Wine Glasses, Set of 6

These La Rochère bee glasses are iconic—they'll transport you to the French countryside. We love how they can go casual or formal: they look perfectly at home alongside blue and white China with crisp white linens and on your outdoor table for a simple lunch. The silhouette of a French-style wine glass is always in style (hey, if they're good enough for Ina Garten, then they're good enough for us). The low-footed glasses aren't exclusively for wine, either. Use them for water and an accent color on your table or for homemade lemonade alongside a simple glass pitcher.

Fluted Acrylic Glassware, Set of 4

Fluted Acrylic Glassware
Courtesy of West Elm

While glass drinkware is usually our top choice, it's not ideal for all situations. Glass can break easily, which can be dangerous outside, near a pool, or around kids or pets. These stackable acrylic West Elm glasses are made with BPA-free plastic that is nearly indestructible. The fluted surround makes them easy to grip if your hands are wet from taking a dunk in the pool or hot tub. This set comes in four colors and in a highball or double old-fashioned size (or a mix of both!). Plus, a matching fluted pitcher is great for batch cocktails or ice water infused with sliced cucumber or lemon. While you can put your acrylic glassware in the dishwasher, it will last longer if you hand wash it. Also, the plastic can develop small splinters if exposed to high heat.

These striking emerald green glasses from Tory Burch's home line are an instant family heirloom. Made using a turn-of-the-century technique involving pressing molten glass in an intricate mold, the timeless design will look great with vintage and modern dinnerware. The low-footed stem style works as a wine or water glass, great for the table or bar. For our dream outdoor table, we'd pair them with a hand-painted stoneware pitcher, raffia placemats, and scalloped dinner plates.

Blush Pink Wine Stemware, Set of 6

Blush Pink Wine Stemware
Courtesy of Estelle Colored Glassware

Also available at Anthropologie and West Elm.

Colored glassware is far from a trend. Visit any vintage shop, and these gleaming, colorful glasses have been adorning people's tables for decades. Estelle Colored Glassware is a line of boutique stemware named after owner Stephenie Hall's grandmother, who loved to scour antique shops for unique pieces. While trying to build a collection like her grandmother's, Hall realized that most of the colored glassware she could find was on the secondary market and with an antique-shop price tag to match. So she began producing her line of glassware, all in bright jewel tones like amethyst, cobalt blue, mint green, and coral peach pink. We love these gorgeous blush pink wine glasses, but you can also create a custom set if you want a mix of colors.

Designed by Alessandro Alberti and Giulieta Piccioli, they're mouth-blown in Italy and have subtle ridging that sparkles in the light. The generous goblet shape makes them perfect for a fruity rum punch or an old-school Mai Tai. Pair them with these fun glass swizzle sticks for even more of a tropical vibe. Bonus: these hand-blown glasses are also dishwasher safe.

Hawkins New York makes the most simple yet beautiful tableware that adds a dose of color to your everyday essentials. These stackable colored glasses are available in three sizes—6 ounces, 10 ounces, and 14 ounces—and there's a matching pitcher if you wish to complete the set. The variety of sizes is good for everything from after-dinner amaro to OJ and a giant glass of seltzer. Choose which chic color fits your home, and then leave them stacked next to your bar or as a thoughtful touch on your guest room's bedside table. We particularly love the olive-green color, reminiscent of burnished sea glass washed up on the beach.

This BPA-free Tritan plastic glassware has impeccable clarity and can be tossed right into your dishwasher without the risk of warping or cracking. We're eyeing the multicolored margarita coupes for a batch of our Frozen Cucumber Margaritas with Chile-Sumac Salt. These glasses are best used poolside and with a generous bowl of guacamole nearby.

Recycled Aviva Highball Glasses, Set of 4

Recycled Aviva Highball Glasses
Courtesy of Anthropologie

Highball glasses get their name from "highball" cocktails or drinks that are heavier on the mixer and need more capacity, like a gin & tonic or scotch & soda. They're taller than a lowball (or Old Fashioned glass) and are roomier than a Collins glass. That also means they're incredibly versatile and can be used for water, non-alcoholic drinks, and mixed cocktails. These gorgeous Aviva highball glasses are made with recycled glass. The natural ripples, color variation, and thick sides make them very similar to Mexican blown glass. The teal set and the matching Aviva pitcher would be perfect for a batch of fizzy palomas on the porch this summer.

Glitter Rainbow Insulated Champagne Flute

Glitter Rainbow Insulated Champagne Flute
Courtesy of BrüMate

If your go-to summer beverage is sparkling wine, you need one of these BrüMate Champagne flutes. The triple-insulated stainless steel sides keep your drink colder, longer, and less metallic taste than you get from lesser-quality products. Plus, the air-tight flip-top lid is spill-proof and keeps your wine bubbly until the last sip. Since the BrüMate glass also has twice the capacity of a traditional Champagne flute, you can refill less often and enjoy your wine for longer. Bonus: They also come in various fun colors, like this glitter rainbow flute.

Crow Canyon x The Get Out Enamel Drinking Glass, Set of 4

Crow Canyon x The Get Out Enamel Drinking Glass
Courtesy of West Elm

These fun enameled cups were made in collaboration with Crow Canyon and The Get Out, a design-driven camping brand. Metal enamelware is iconic and brings it back to the good old days of camping and outdoor cooking before everything was plastic. While we love a traditional white rimmed enamelware plate or mug, these brightly colored cups are a vibrant spin on the classic. These would be great for a beach day, a car-camping trip, or even as a bathroom glass. We'll also be ordering these dinner plates for outdoor meals and impromptu snack plates.

Mosser Faceted Colored Milk Glass Tumblers, Set of 4

Tory Burch Pressed-Glass Water Glass
Courtesy of Tory Burch

If you're a fan of vintage bakeware or dinnerware, you're undoubtedly familiar with milk glass. The opaque glass has been in production since the mid-1800s and was considered to be porcelain for the masses. While early pieces were milky white, they eventually came to include blush pinks and jadeite green. These darling faceted milk glass tumblers are handcrafted by Mosser Glass, a family-owned company in Ohio that uses vintage molds to recreate classic designs. How perfect would these glasses be for your morning juice, a fresh batch of lemonade, or even a couple of scoops of ice cream after dinner?
