I spend a lot of time scrolling through TikTok, but I immediately stop and take note any time I see a handy new kitchen gadget pop up on my 'For You Page.' Last month, I came across this TikTok of a two-in-one hot pot and grill, and I knew I had to have it.

I've used my Topwit Electric Grill and Hot Pot to make a wide range of meals that are just as enjoyable to cook as they are to eat. After all, hot pot cooking is an interactive experience. It involves placing soup stock or broth in a pot, excitement building as it comes to a boil, then delicately dipping quick-cooking ingredients, such as vegetables, meats, and noodles, into the simmering liquid. This gadget not only has a shallow and wide compartment for hot pot dishes, but also a nonstick grill that is perfect for preparing sides.

The appliance's grill and hot pot sections are controlled by separate temperature dials with 600- and 300-watt settings, so you can cook multiple meal components at the same time. The entire appliance measures 17.7 inches long, 8.7 inches deep, and 3.9 inches high, and it weighs just under 6 pounds, making it simple to tote from place to place and stow away.

I've used the flat top grill side to cook seasoned vegetables, meats like sirloin beef strips and boneless chicken, and even the occasional morning omelet. Everything I've made on the grill has cooked evenly, and the nonstick surface is easy to clean. All you need is to wipe down with a damp towel and soap.

I've also tried out an array of different recipes when using the hot pot side of the appliance, which includes a tempered glass lid. Some of my masterpieces have relied on miso and tofu, while others have incorporated meats such as chicken and steak. The warm broth and noodles have been especially comforting during the cold winter months—I love that I can enjoy a delicious meal without leaving my home (or changing out of my pajamas).
