While Bikini Bottom is a fictional place, there’s one part of the animated town that just got very real: Spongebob Squarepants’ house. The Nickelodeon Hotel and Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic has just opened a pineapple-shaped abode modeled after the famous invertebrate’s domicile.
The two-bedroom suite includes 24-hour room service, a private pool, and space for up to four adults and two kids (so six adults, let’s be real). The villa will only set you back $3,800 a night. Where is Bikini Bottom, Dubai? The interior is a slight upgrade from Spongebob’s decor (if you want to call it that) though there is a re-creation of his iconic, sparsely laid out living room inside.
Everything else has that chic coral reef vibe. Oh, and Spogebob's pet snail Gary makes an appearance, too. Of course you can also just stay at the resort for a more reasonable $375 per person, but you don’t get to live in a fruit house so what’s even the point? As a fully Nick experience, it also features characters walking around and, of course, slime. Our inner child has never wanted to visit the Dominican Republic so badly.
