The Shock, the Awe and the Crippling Joy of Becoming an F&W Best New Chef
On Tuesday, Food & Wine will reveal the 2014 class of Best New Chefs and we're pretty excited. There are some impressive alumni in this little club of ours—Chang, Keller, Boulud, Colicchio—the list goes on. We’re sure that this year’s crop will distinguish themselves just like the classes that came before them.
But before any chef goes on to post-BNC greatness, they have to get over the initial shock of finding out they won. We went through our list of amazing Best New Chefs and asked them to recreate the moment they got the news. Behold, the #BNCFace:
