For eight years the Washington Post’s Peeps Diorama contest has dominated the spring holiday food modeling world—it’s a small world but Peeps run it. This year, however, Easter Peeps are getting some fierce competition from Passover Macaroons. Manischewitz, your one-stop-shop for everything you are obligated to eat on Passover, launched a competition this year encouraging people to use their macaroons (the chewy coconut balls, not macarons, the delicious and delicate French cookies) to create characters, scenes or brief videos. In case you are short on ideas, Manischewitz also made a calendar highlighting some holidays we are pretty sure are made up to inspire you. If you want to enter your macaroon models you have until April 24 to get entries in here. Winners will receive an iPad Air 2 and a $500 Visa Gift Card. If you’re keeping score at home, the winner of the Post’s Peeps contest only gets 200 bucks.
