The Japanese lead the world in many areas: They make the world’s best whiskey, have the most owl cafes per capita, and definitely produce the most fascinating candy anywhere on the planet. Our favorite new find is part dessert, part chemistry set. The Marimo Marshmallow company’s Nerunerunerune series lets you make your own candy by transforming a powder into a paste that becomes a gummylike marshmallow in vibrant colors. According to the Marimo website, each set is less than $5 and can be shipped worldwide, so we will definitely be ordering up a bunch of these. Until then, watch the above video and be amazed.
