It’s almost over everyone. The 2016 election, which we're pretty sure is celebrating its bicentenial, will finally reach its conclusion in less than a week (probably). And once it doeswe could all use a good drink. In fact, why not just head right out and get one along with your “I Voted” sticker.
Location intelligence company Foursquare has got you covered from voting booth to vodka tonic. Their interactive map will pinpoint your voting location and show you the best places to eat and drink nearby (if you check into two of them using the Swarm app, Foursquare and CBS News will enter you to win a Roku stick. The map also has coffee shops and restaurants, but let’s be realistic: As soon as you’re done pulling the lever you’ll want a shot. You earned it.
The map is still being updated this week with additional details from the Voting Information Project (the fact that states like Pennsylvania and New Hampshire still haven’t finalized voting locations this close to election day sounds like yet another face palm moment in our beloved democratic process, but we digress) but voting, eating and drinking information is up for almost every precinct in every state.
Check out the map below to find your polling location make your post voting plans. And, whatever party or candidate you happen to like or hate, just get out and vote on Tuesday. We owe it to each other and the country.
