Beat the Receipt is the only affordable cooking challenge that gives a pro chef and a food influencer $20 each to shop for and cook a meal for two using the same main ingredient. As the challengers try to stay under $20, the pressure is on with shopping and cooking plans changing on the fly. Beat the Receipt is the perfect show for anyone who loves to improvise at the market and in the kitchen, or wants to learn some amazing affordable recipes.

Episode one kicked off with chef Kia Damon and challenger Joey Camasta, who managed to each pull off impressive noodle dishes within budget. This week’s episode features chef Tom Cunanan and challenger Marisel Salazar, who have to come up with a breakfast dish after a spin of the meal wheel. Coincidentally, both choose French toast, with Cunanan preparing garlic French toast for two and Salazar making dulce de leche French toast for two. They both manage to stay under $20—watch the video above to see how they beat the receipt.
