Geisha: Rare, Floral-Scented Coffee to Buy Now
The coffee obsessive in your life has heard of Geisha (or Gesha), a scarce, reportedly very complex variety of coffee bean that has been sold by some top roasters for more than $100 a bag. Toby's Estate is offering a batch from the Finca Santa Teresa farm in Panama's Chiriquí province at a comparatively accessible price. Though $36 is still a lot for a half-pound of beans, the coffee delivers: It's floral scented and delicately textured, but also rich with wild-berry flavors. Toby's is roasting its Geisha on Thursdays in December; order by Wednesday, Dec. 18 to receive it by Christmas.
