Cindy is a freelance writer and editor focusing on food and other lifestyle content. She has more than 10 years of writing and editing experience. Her work has been featured in Forbes, The Kitchn, Blue Apron, LIVEKINDLY, and more. Before moving to full-time freelancing, she worked on the editorial side of things in cookbook publishing where she helped edit more than 20 titles, including the New York Times bestselling book The Whole30. She also served as the content manager at a boutique marketing agency.


Cindy Brzostowski started her writing and editing career during college while working as a writing consultant at The University of Texas at Austin's Undergraduate Writing Center, a writing fellow for Liberal Arts Honors Program, and a copy editor for The Daily Texan. She also served as the proofing intern at The Austin Chronicle for nearly a year.

After graduation, Cindy went on to work for two years as a culinary editorial assistant at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in New York City. In this role, she assisted two editors with publishing six to ten cookbooks per season. Cindy then returned to Texas to join the content team at Practice Cafe, a boutique marketing agency. 

These days, Cindy works as a freelance writer and editor from her home base in Berlin, Germany. Her writing focuses on food, travel, and other lifestyle topics.
