Seth Gerber

Location: Boston

Seth Gerber is a managing partner of the MIDA restaurant group in Boston. He has over a decade of experience in the restaurant industry. In addition to restaurant consulting and writing about the industry, Gerber teaches hospitality courses at Boston University. 


During his time at Boston University, Seth Gerber earned the coveted Kopf Scholarship, which gave him the opportunity to travel throughout the United States and Europe visiting world-class wineries. After graduation, he joined the Hillstone Restaurant Group under their management training program, eventually taking the helm of culinary operations at their flagship boutique concept in Santa Monica, California. He returned to Boston to launch Café ArtScience, then later neighborhood Italian restaurant MIDA, where he partnered with 2020 F&W Best New Chef Douglass Williams. 


Seth Gerber holds a bachelor of science in hospitality administration/management and a master of business administration from Boston University. He is also a certified sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers.
