Rebecca Deczynski

Rebecca Deczynski is a staff reporter at Inc. Previously a member of the e-commerce team at Dotdash Meredith, she wrote about shopping, health, and wellness for Health, Shape, and People. In addition to Food & Wine, Rebecca’s bylines have appeared in Travel + Leisure, Martha Steward Living, Refinery29, Delish, and Good Housekeeping, among others.

Experience

Rebecca Deczynski’s career in digital media and publishing began in her first year at Barnard College as a member of Seventeen magazine’s Freshman 15 panel, which had her documenting her college experience through regular blogs and vlogs. She served as editor-in-chief of Barnard’s monthly student-run print magazine and interned at Woman’s Day, Good Housekeeping, InStyle, and NYLON. Rebecca cut her teeth at Hearst Media-owned Sweet, the first straight-to-Snapchat Discover publication, before taking on an editorial position at Domino, eventually becoming Lifestyle Editor. In her current role as a staff reporter at Inc., Rebecca covers the future of work, entrepreneurship, and the ins and outs of business ownership. She sees herself as a storyteller at heart who writes as a way of exploring all the subjects she loves — from pop culture to design, politics to health, beauty to artificial intelligence.

Education

Rebecca studied English and dance at Barnard College where she graduated with a bachelor of arts.
