Maddy Sweitzer-Lammè

Maddy Sweitzer-Lammé is a passionate and voraciously hungry home cook and eater. She's been writing about food in all its forms since 2014 and is a big believer that anyone can and should love to cook.


Maddy has worked as freelance writer since 2020, during which time she has contributed to national titles like Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, and Vinepair, as well as local publications like the Philadelphia Inquirer and Eater, Las Vegas.

Before going freelance, Maddy worked at Philadelphia Magazine, where she managed the magazine's digital food vertical and social media channels. Before coming to Philadelphia, she worked at Food & Wine magazine, contributing to print and digital, testing recipes, and supporting the print staff in producing an award-winning publication.


Maddy attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in American studies and food studies with a minor in journalism. She wrote an honors thesis about the cultural and historical significance of American barbecue, which was recognized with highest honors.
