Experience

Kelsey Ogletree began building her writing career in Chicago, working as a business reporter and editorial assistant while attending graduate school. She rose through the ranks to become managing editor of the modern luxury publication Jezebel. Kelsey took on the role of editor-in-chief at Connect Meetings, where she focused on the travel, hospitality, and tourism industries.

As a freelance writer, Kelsey has crafted such stories as outdoor adventures in Montana for Parents Magazine, mindfulness gadgets for The Wall Street Journal, and nutrient-dense salads for Well + Good. Building on her experience in business, marketing, and advertising, she co-founded Pitchcraft in 2021. Kelsey aims to build a membership community where publicists and business owners can make relationship-based connections with journalists and content creators through well-crafted story ideas. She is an advocate for transparency in the media.

Kelsey attended Carroll College in Helena, Montana where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in television broadcasting, marketing, and communications. She holds a master's in magazine journalism from Northwestern University.
