Camille Berry

Camille Berry is a freelance writer and wine expert based in Scotland. She covers food, wine, spirits, drinks, baking, and lifestyle. Camille has written for Healthy Cooking, Food & Wine, Prevention, SEEMA, Taste of Home, and Vinography. She is also a certified sommelier with a background in the food and beverage industry.

Experience

Camille comes from a family of restauranteurs. She got her start in the food and beverage industry in her native San Francisco developing a wine club program for a Bay Area winery. Camille subsequently worked as a sommelier and wine director for such restaurants as Tony's Pizza Napoletana, Capo's, Burrit Room + Tavern, and Hakkasan. She created wine and spirits pairing programs, helped develop chef menus, and established wine education classes for service staff. Camille has been a freelance writer since 2015, creating wine, spirits, and food-related content for magazines, digital outlets, and companies. Her work has appeared in Departures, Best Health, Spirited Virginia Magazine, Wine Folly, The Black Label, GuildSomm, and Vivino among others. Camille has also crafted scripts for Uncorked features of Grape Expectations, America's largest syndicated lifestyle radio show.

Education

Camille attended City College of San Francisco. She graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Politics. Camille passed the WSET Level III Advanced certification with merit. She received her sommelier certification through the Court of Master Sommeliers. Camille was also certified as a Specialist in Wine by the Society of Wine Educators.
