Las Vegas restauranteur, chef, and sommelier Bank Atcharawan is known for his expertise in pairing wine with Thai food. Formerly co-owner and chef of Chada Thai & Wine and Chada Street, he is now the chef-owner of Chinatown hot spot Lamaii, where he showcases modern, upscale interpretations of Thai favorites.

Experience: Bank Atcharawan made his mark on the Las Vegas restaurant scene by creating what Food & Wine deemed "one of the best Riesling-based wine programs in the country" at Lotus of Siam. At Chada Thai & Wine where he was both chef and sommelier, he proved that Chenin Blanc and Gewürztraminer also paired well with his spicy Thai food. Bank took wine pairing in a sweet direction when he teamed up with his wife Pimmie for Patio Dessert & Drinks, which featured Thai cakes and honey toast. At Lamaii, he curates his expansive wine list, dominated by Riesling, Champagne, and Chablis, to showcase his modern interpretation of Thai favorites like Panang duck curry, mango crispy catfish, and grilled pork jowl. Bank is a chef who is not afraid to challenge perceptions of what Thai food can be.
