Ashia Aubourg has spent the past few years developing stories across print, digital, and podcasting. Before writing, Ashia gained lessons within the food system, working on various food justice initiatives, culinary start-ups, and food-tech companies. As a result, her writing tends to unearth underrepresented narratives within food, travel, and culture.


Ashia started her writing career at Cuisine Noir Magazine after years of running her digital platform Nourished Palate. Since then, she has appeared in various publications, including Clean Plates and Food Tank. Ashia has also written and produced audio stories for America's Test Kitchen.


Ashia received a dual bachelor's degree in Food Studies and Policy Studies from Syracuse University. While studying at Syracuse University, her research focused on analyzing components to build equitable and sustainable food systems within underrepresented communities.
