Eataly Downtown opens in New York on August 11 and Food & Wine scored a preview of the massive Financial District ode to Italy and carbs. This location's over-the-top Italian food stands include a breakfast bar, a grilled flatbread station called La Piadina Romagnola by the Fratelli Maioli and Pasticcini, a bite-sized pastry operation. The flagship restaurant, Osteria della Pace, will serve Southern Italian dishes and the market will offer its famously vast array of products from fresh mozzarella and pasta to wood-fired breads inspired by Italian and global bakers.
