If I marinate meat I like to grill it. I like the flavor of charcoal and the flavor of wood. But if I want the pure essence of meat, for me it would probably be a ribeye, and pan roasting it, a good amount of butter, and thyme, and baste. That's, for some reason for me, that's meat tastes best that way.
