Chef Stephanie Izard reveals how to make her amazing French toast.
[MUSIC] We're gonna start off by making a bit of a french toast batter. Here we have some buttermilk. This is the same batter that I use at my restaurant, Little Goat, that we serve our french toast with. And it works terrifically in this application. So you've got some buttermilk, three-quarters of a cup. We've got three-quarters of a cup of heavy cream as well. This is a nice and light recipe. And we're gonna crack in a couple of eggs. [BLANK_AUDIO] Put them right in there. And then we're gonna whisk it up with a little bit of a garam masala. It's one of my favorite spice blends. If you can't find garam masala, you can go ahead and put some cinnamon and nutmeg, or some other aromatic spices. But I love the garam masala, it's got a little bit of heat to it as well. So just some really fun flavors. Just gonna whisk this up, just like we're making breakfast. [NOISE] And then we're gonna pour it over our cubes of bread and let the bread kind of soak up all of the fat and get it ready to make our little french toast stir fry. [MUSIC]
