[MUSIC] Hi, I'm Sissy Biggers, here with Food & Wine and Royal Caribbean International, to meet with top culinary specialists about the art of preparation. It's time to talk about everybody's favorite food, pizza with a true master, Mark Bello of Pizza a Casa. Mark shares his knowledge with those seeking to hone their pie making skills at his school in, where else? New York City. [MUSIC] We're at Pizza a Casa Pizza School on Grant Street in New York City's lower east side. I just started playing around with pizza making in my kitchen in my apartment, toying with recipes and ideas and ways to do what we're teaching people here. In our classes it's a group of strangers all sort of united by the passion for pizza and for food. Our classes are a mixture too of people who have been making pizzas for a long time and then people who have never touched flour in their life before and we all start with the dough and make that together, and then go forth from there and all the little steps to just making a perfect pizza. When I'm demonstrating that first pizza to kind of give people this understanding of what makes this this successful of course, make the margarita. Because for me, visiting any new pizzeria, I don't care what sort of gourmet truffle and quail like thing they've got on the menu, I must try their margarita cuz to me, that is the bar right there. We [UNKNOWN] are not a restaurant here. We don't sell you the fish, we teach you how to [MUSIC] It feels great to be able to teach people something that they can bring back home and use every day. Cooking together with friends and family, there's nothing better. I think the world would be a better place if more people just kind of hung out and cooked and shared a meal together.
