[MUSIC] I'm Justin Chapple from Food and Wine's test kitchen. Join me as I demonstrate mad genius tips. The thing about soft cheese or even cookie dough is that it's really hard to cut. But I've got a trick for you and it's kind of genius. It's everyday dental floss. I'm going to take my goat cheese. Then I'm going to take my piece of dental floss, unflavored dental floss. Then I'm going to wrap it around my fingers just like this because I want it nice and taut. And then you're just going to press down on the goat cheese, until you're all the way though to the bottom. And as you can see, we have our Beautiful little rounds of goat cheese. So now we have one of my favorite cheeses, Brie. This time instead of wrapping the dental floss around your fingers, you're gonna go ahead and stick it directly under the center of the brie wedge. And you're gonna crisscross the ends of the dental floss. With one swift, firm pull, You'll pull it through the center, like that. As you can see, you have this perfectly cut wedge of brie. And now, because we all love cookies, once again, wrap it around, make it nice and taut and go in for the cut. And this time, instead of wrapping it around your fingers, I'm gonna wrap it around the cookie dough, and just like we did the brie, you're gonna go right through the center. Works like a charm.
