F&W's Justin Chapple demonstrates how to use a turkey baster for shaping pancakes.
[MUSIC] I'm Jessie Chapple from Food & Wine's test kitchen. Join me as I demonstrate mad genius tips. [MUSIC] There is nothing better than pancakes for breakfast, but there's nothing worse than the mess they create. The worst of all is when you're ladling the batter onto the griddle, you get all these drips all over the stove. But, I have a mad genius tip that's gonna teach you how to make dripless pancakes. The secret to this mad genius tip is something we all have, and never use. A turkey baster. So, I have my pancake batter, and I'm just gonna use my turkey baster to transfer the batter to the griddle. Okay, there's no drips. I'm walkin' around. Hanging out. Having a chat. You can get really fun with the turkey baster. You can do different shapes. You can make hearts. You can make stars. You can even write your name. And everyone's favorite toppings for pancakes, maple syrup. Yummy. Beautiful. It's steaming. It's fluffy. And they're delicious. [MUSIC]
