In this video series from the Food & Wine Test Kitchen, Justin Chapple shares a technique for easily cutting cherry tomatoes with two plates.
Here's a super fast tip for slicing a pint of cherry tomatoes. You'll need two identical rimmed plates. [SOUND] First, you'll wanna set one plate face down on a work surface. And you're gonna fill it with your cherry tomatoes. [BLANK_AUDIO] Next, you'll take the other plate and set it directly on top of the tomatoes right side up. Hold it firmly but gently in place. Now you're gonna need a knife, I prefer a Chef's knife. And you're gonna slice through the center of the tomatoes evenly. [BLANK_AUDIO]
