Dana called me on my cell phone, and it was a complete surprise. I was at the bank and I just get this phone call, and she's like, hello, George. I'm like, yes. She's like, Dana Cowin, Food & Wine Magazine. Then I was just like, hello. And she's just like, what are you doing? And I'm like, I'm at the bank. And she says, well, I hope your banking experience is a little happier. It's best new chef time, and Anna just freaked out. It was pretty cool to get that kind of a phone call. I was surprised. It's the perfect little story of the little train that could in a way. Portugal is a very obscure country, not as traveled or as popular as like Spain, or France, or Italy. I think this adds, it helps add to the recognition. But, what we work with and what I do all day, working with the ingredients is very similar to other european countries. So being recognized by Food Wine magazine named being the best new chef And putting Portugal up on a higher pedestal now definitely helps a lot, definitely. To be part of an elite group and just thinking of history of Food & Wine's Best New Chef's how far back it goes, who's part of it and being part of the family is fantastic. It's gonna push me harder.
