In my opinion every sandwich needs some sort of creamy element to bring it all together even a vegan one. So I'm gonna teach you how to make vegan mayonnaise. [MUSIC] There's no secret that tofu is vegan but tofu is the secret to vegan mayonnaise. So I'm gonna go ahead and take about a 14 ounce to a 1 pound container of silken tofu and I'm gonna go ahead and add it to the bowl of a food processor. I'm gonna go ahead and add a generous pinch of salt. So that it's seasoned, as well as one teaspoon of white vinegar. Put the top onto my food processor and give it a whirl. [NOISE] With the machine on, I'm going to gradually add about a cup of blended oil, it's olive oil and canola or vegetable oil. Alright, you know it's ready when you've incorporated all the oil and it's really thick and smooth. I'm going to go ahead and transfer it to Next little jar here, go ahead and close the jar, and you're gonna wanna pop this in the refrigerator for about an hour until it's chilled and thickened. Okay this vegan mayonnaise is well chilled, and we are ready to build the ultimate veggie sandwich. It's creamy Just like the regular stuff and just as delicious. Add some lettuce. Gonna pile on a few cucumbers, sweet peppers, a little bit of radish, and some of these sprouts. Course. It would not be complete without the top slice of bread. It's creamy, it's delicious, it will elevate every sandwich. And vegan or not, you've got an amazing mayonnaise substitute. [MUSIC]
