Here's the thing that most people don't do. When the string bean bends, everyone thinks oh it's done, it's done. That's not true. When you take the string bean and it breaks, which is after the bend, then it's done. And if you taste the difference, one tastes like raw string bean, when you can just bend it. But when you wait till it just goes plop like that and it breaks, which is about two to three minutes after the bend. You've got some good string beans. That, some salt, pepper, butter. You're good to go.
