Grilling a perfect steak can be a really big subject. I always like to enhance the flavor of a steak. So what I do is I make a very simple spice rub. You can buy one in a store, or you can make your own. Salt, pepper, some dried mustard, maybe some chili powder, some paprika, maybe some cumin. That's it. That's plenty. Spice rub the steak on one side only, cuz remember, we just wanna enhance the steak. We don't wanna overpower the steak. Put it on the spice rub side down and leave it alone. Let the grill get the spice rub nice and crusty. It's gonna create two things, flavor of course, and it's gonna create a really nice crust on the outside. So your spice rub is gonna work double duty.
