Spicy Dill Quick Pickles

This recipe is an absolute knockout! The ratio of sugar to salt in the brine, the interplay of the herbs, the subtle heat of the chilis (I used 1 jalapeno per pint), and the crispness of the kirbys is perfect—exactly what a great dill pickle should be.
