mungerI found the dish to be uninspired, and the shallots overwhelmed the other flavors. It could be better with less olive oil and shallots, but it'll never be a dish your guests will ask you to make again.

The salad is OK - nothing special. I don't think the favor combination is that inspired.

This salad doesn't necessarily look pretty, but it's very tasty. I like the tomato deseeded to reduce the moisture content so you can add a little aged red wine vinegar. I'm also going to try it with some finely diced jalapeno. It's great as is and has potential for many variations.

There's something off about the flavors...they just don't work together. Basically, it marginally drinkable and that's about it.

I wouldn't have thought bourbon and chocolate could have gone together so well. A harmonious mix of ingredients!

I'd give this a 4.5 if I could. It has a great taste with a beautiful presentation. Perfect drink for any party!

Fresh, lemony and smooth - what's not to like. Vaguely reminiscent of a non-tequila margarita.

Great light summery drink. I personally like a dash of bitters to give a bit more bite. You can also add more rum to give it more kick.

Great flavors on this drink. Despite the 1.5 oz of gin, it really doesn't taste much like gin. I'd definitely have this one again!

I'd reduce the amount of lemon the recipe calls for. Despite that, I just didn't enjoy the flavors of the drink.

While a decent tasting drink, I don't think it's worth the effort of grating the cucumber.

Just didn't dig it. Maybe if you're a hard core tequila fan you'd like it.

I normally don't believe in 5 stars, but I love this drink! It's fun w/o being too foofy. I could have this every day!

Vaguely similar to a dirty martini, but not as good. Just average - good but nothing spectacular.

Great little summery drink that I'd definitely have again. I prefer mine with slightly less lime than the recipe calls for.

I'd actually give it 3.5 - slightly above average. A visually interesting drink that tastes pretty darn good.

The drink flavor is so-so. I think the grapefruit chunks add an undesirable bitterness to this drink. They also soak up a lot of the vodka...which is just wrong.

It's a good classic martini, but you may need to adjust the amount of vermouth depending on how dry you like it.

I gave it 4 stars b/c I don't believe in 5 stars. This is a great drink without any alterations!

I think the proportions of the ingredients are a little off. While the drink is an interesting idea, it's a little too much work grating celery for me to invest the time tweaking the recipe.

This is a great for people who don't normally enjoy bourbon as well as those who love it. The vanilla really enhances the flavor in a subtle way. If it's too much alcohol for you, try cutting with a little club soda.

This drink can creep up on you fast. It's good but not great. Maybe tweaking the proportions of the recipe would help.

I like this better with a little less of the cherry Heering. Interesting drink, but not something I'd make again.
