This was the best lentil soup I have had, homemade or otherwise. I used ham hocks because I couldn't get smoked turkey. I think using the parmesan rinds made a big difference to the flavor and richness of the broth.

Wonderful fresh flavors.  In spite of the bacon it tastes light and healthy.
