meoreillyI made this exactly as directed, and it was fabulous. It is better the day after when the flavors have had a chance to marry. Each flavor is distinct yet combines to create a very sumptuous and complicated flavor profile. The sherry, the orange rind, the bittersweet chocolate, the thyme, the saffron, the cinnamon and the aniseeds - each has its part to play. We could not find the recommended wine to pair but served it with a syrah and the result was nice. Enjoy!
