lzuckermSo easy and tasty! My grocery store never has everything I need, so I used jalapeno peppers instead of thai chilis and I skipped the celery leaves. It was flavorful and spicy and an interesting lunchtime alternative. Read more at www.adventuroustastes.com.

This recipe requires minimal effort and cleanup and is filled with a variety of veggies, so it's a great quick healthy dinner option.
I couldn't find oyster sauce so I had to use a pre-made stirfry sauce, but I otherwise followed this recipe. This is definitely a recipe you can play with by using additional veggies or sauces. I made cupcakes and it yielded about 22. For cupcakes, you should cut the icing recipe in half and cook the cakes for only about 20 minutes. I loved the spicy icing (valle de sol chile stood in just fine for ancho). The cake part isn't the most exciting but the cinnamon went well with the icing. The meatballs browned far too fast at medium-high and were near burning. Otherwise, the recipe actually turned out fine and was pretty tasty. It wasn't amazing, though, so not sure I'd cook it again any time soon. Read more about my cooking exploits at www.adventuroustastes.blogspot.com.

These have become a go-to dessert for me. So simple and decadent. The bitter chocolate is a perfect counterpoint to the sweet filling. Read about my experience serving this at a luncheon at http://adventuroustastes.blogspot.com/2008/07/adventures-in-entertaining-feeding.html

I've made this several times, and it's always a big hit. The bacon adds great flavor to the shrimp and beans. Plus, it's a fast, no-mess recipe. The dressing would be great on other salads, too. Check out what I have to say about it on www.adventuroustastes.blogspot.com

Delicious way to dress up a steak! The sauce was simple to make, and the shallots and mustard are a perfect complement to a good piece of steak. I didn't think the shallots needed 10 minutes to cook, and the sauce doesn't turn out a very aesthetically pleasing color, but I'll definitely be making this again! Savory and decadent but requires minimal effort. These were a real treat and would make for an impressive appetizer for guests. Check out my food blog www.adventuroustastes.blogspot.com

Simple and delicious. With so much sugar, butter, and jam, how could it be bad? I had to improvise because I didn't have enough milk or half and half, so I ended up using 2 total cups of 2% milk, half and half, and heavy cream, and it still turned out moist and my guests had thirds! Loved this recipe! The ingredients require very little prep, which is a major plus in my book. The cheese and raisins keep the meatloaf gooey and lighter than your mother's meatloaf, and the pinenuts provide a pleasant crunch. Leftovers were just as good the day after! These cheesecakes were simple to make and had a lighter taste than your typical cheesecake. You'd have to use more cookie than the recipe calls for to get it to look like the photo, but even my flatter ones still looked nicely layered. I write about my experience making them at my blogspot blog Adventurous Tastes.
