kellypeaA pleasant recipe with flavors that work nicely together. The pepper and thyme are interesting, and the syrup from the figs flavorful. I'm not a fig lover, but this was not bad. I topped it with some Greek yogurt mixed with honey instead of the creme fraiche.

This is an outstanding recipe with the ahi either grilled or seared on the stove. Try it with rice instead of pasta.

I made a lean brioche (Sherry Yard's recipe), then tried this with raspberries. The lemon cream is silky, and perfectly tart. The vanilla rosemary syrup is excellent, but could mess up the berries if it's too warm, or too cool. Comes together very quickly at the end if everything is ready. Nice dessert! Check mine out at

This was a relatively quick and easy recipe to make and was good. If you enjoy jambalaya, you may not be quite satisfied with this particular rendition, but the andouille is a pleasant touch as is the crab. I added some chopped fresh tomatoes for more flavor. Not bad.

This is a truly excellent cookie that will get rave reviews. It's perfect to gift and would package well once set. The caramel is delicious, and if you don't have a long span of time to work on these, the cookie can be made ahead and store well in a sealed bag at room temp until you can make the caramel and put them together. Completely decadent and worth the time! For more, visit my food blog, Sass & Veracity.
