This is an excellent aperitivo!!!!!!  I substituted walnuts for pistachios and omitted the parsley. I didn't have those ingredients in the my kitchen. I was also short on time so I used Verdurabrand Frozen Sauteed Broccoli Rabe (an excellent substitution).  I prepared the broccoli rabe according to the 12oz package suggestion. I let it cool and then pressed out some of the water/broth from the broccoli rabe.  In a food processsor, I chopped the garlic; added the walnuts and chopped them; then I added the rabe and continued to follow the recipe.  I made this in 7 minutes.   I served it with crostini-made with a baguette.  My guests were amazed that pesto could be made with broccoli rabe.  On another day, I decided to make this delicious pesto with penne pasta, it was amazing!!!!!
