Outstanding salad for people like me who love chicken livers. The combination of flavors is stunning. The ranch dressing is delicious. The livers are crispy and tasty and are even good cold. I am going to try the salad with livers seasoned with smoked paprika and simply sauteed without the buttermilk batter.

Tasty and festive at a Christmas cocktail party. I have to describe the presentation. I gave the recipe to a guest along with a silver tray and some fancy holiday skewers topped with red and green pinwheels and red, green, and silver tassels. People gasped when he passed around his creation---the silver tray packed with the red hors d'oeuvres and alternating tassels and pinwheels. This recipe would be even better with in season watermelon. I am going to try to find some Fourth of July skewers.
